What does BYOK mean?
Bring Your Own Key. You drop in your OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google API key and Dispatch makes the calls on your behalf. The token bill goes directly to your AI provider — we never see it, never mark it up, never resell it.
Can I really use my own ChatGPT subscription?
Not the consumer ChatGPT plan — that one does not have programmatic access. You need a developer key from platform.openai.com (or your provider of choice). Funding is the same wallet you already have for any API work.
What if I exceed run limits?
Workflows pause at the cap and you get a heads-up email at 80% and 100%. No surprise overage charges. You can upgrade in one click or wait for the monthly reset — your call.
Is Dispatch open source?
The runtime, integration adapters, and CLI are MIT licensed on GitHub. The cloud control plane (auth, billing, multi-tenant isolation) is closed. Self-host the open part for free, forever.
How is Dispatch different from n8n?
n8n is a node-graph editor — you wire boxes together. Dispatch starts from one English sentence and compiles a phased plan you can audit before it runs. There is still a graph view if you want one, but you should not need it for 90% of workflows.
Do you have a free trial for Pro?
Yes — 14 days, full feature access, no credit card to start. After the trial you drop back to Free unless you choose to subscribe.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. One click in Settings → Billing. You keep Pro features until the end of the current billing period and then revert to Free. No phone tree, no retention rep.
Do you store my data?
We store run metadata (which step ran, latency, status) so you can audit and replay. Tool payloads (the actual emails, Notion blocks, Slack messages) are encrypted at rest and purged on the schedule of your plan. We never log your AI prompts or completions.
Can I self-host the open-source version?
Yes. Docker compose, a Postgres URL, your own LLM key. Self-host docs are at /docs/self-host. You give up cloud-only features (SSO, hosted webhooks, dedicated runners) but get everything else.
Do you offer enterprise / SOC 2?
SOC 2 Type II is in audit. For enterprise contracts, custom DPAs, single-tenant hosting, or HIPAA-aligned deployments, get in touch. The Team plan covers most regulated mid-market needs out of the box.
